My love of the water and fishing started at a young age(yes that's me to the right). Some of my earliest memories are of swimming and fishing at my family's lake house. At the age of 5, while many kids were dreaming of becoming astronauts or pro football players, I wanted to be Jacques Cousteau or Huck Finn. My dream job was exploring the rivers and oceans of our world.

I remember my first multi-day whitewater rafting trip, it was a ninth grade school trip, four days and three nights floating the Rio Grande through Big Bend National Park on the Texas Mexico border.
